SUN Bucks 2026: $120 Per Child for Groceries
SUN Bucks, also called Summer EBT, may give an eligible school-age child $120 for groceries during the summer. It is food help, not cash, and it is worth checking before your state’s deadline.
Who may get SUN Bucks
Many children whose families already receive SNAP, Medicaid, TANF, or certain other income-based benefits are enrolled automatically when their state participates. Other children may be able to apply through their state or tribal agency. The USDA explains the eligible groups and each participating location on its official SUN Bucks page.

What SUN Bucks can buy
These benefits can be used for eligible grocery foods, including fruits and vegetables, meat, dairy, bread, cereal, snack foods, and nonalcoholic drinks. They cannot be used for hot prepared foods, pet food, cleaning supplies, or medicine, according to the USDA SUN Bucks guidance.
