Most people have no idea what their credit cards, subscriptions, and government programs offer them. Benefit Guardian is a tool that helps you cut through that complexity — so you can see what you may already qualify for and decide what's worth claiming.
Built by one person, beholden to no one.
Benefit Guardian is an independent, affiliate-free tool for understanding what your credit cards, subscriptions, and government programs actually offer.
I built Benefit Guardian as a solo founder.
It started with a frustration: almost every “best credit card” site is paid by the card issuers. When a site earns a bigger commission for one card than another, the recommendation quietly bends toward the payout — not toward what actually fits you. I’d read three “authoritative” sites and get three different, sometimes flatly wrong, answers about the same card’s benefits.
So I built the tool I wanted. Benefit Guardian takes no affiliate revenue and recommends nothing for commission, because it earns none. Every benefit in the database is verified against the primary source — the issuer’s own terms, the program’s own government page — and every benefit is stamped with the date it was last checked against that source. If I can’t find it in a primary source, it doesn’t go in.
A solo founder with no affiliate deals isn’t a limitation here. It’s the whole point: no incentive exists to tell you anything except what’s actually true.
Why no affiliate revenue
Most card-comparison sites are paid by the issuers they rank. That creates an incentive to recommend the card that pays the most, not the one that fits you best. Benefit Guardian takes no affiliate commissions, no referral fees, and no issuer sponsorships. The only thing it optimizes for is being right.
How we keep it accurate
Every benefit is verified against its primary issuer or government source and stamped with the date it was last checked. When issuers change their terms, the next refresh picks up the change. View our full methodology →

What we do
- ✅ We never ask for your credit card numbers — only the names of cards you have.
- ✅ We check public information about card perks, membership credits, and government programs.
- ✅ We surface programs that may apply to your situation, with steps for you to verify and apply yourself.
- ✅ We do not take any action on your behalf — you stay in control.
Who it's for
Anyone with a credit card, a paid subscription, or a household budget. Whether you have one card or ten, we help you spot benefits you may have missed.
What we are not
Benefit Guardian is not a financial advisor, legal advisor, or government agency. We don't promise specific savings amounts. We don't guarantee eligibility for any program — only the issuing agency or company can determine that.
